Lafayette native, Kevin Ellis comes to Ottinger Hebert to lend his skill in oil and gas matters as well as examining title.  His experience in these areas began during his time as a landman before attending the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at LSU.  As a landman, Kevin was involved in researching title and rights-of-way, eventually managing a title department.  He also prepared abstracts and title opinions for mineral leases and pipeline servitudes in several states including Louisiana, Texas, and Florida.  While in law school, Kevin earned CALI awards in several courses, including Mineral Rights, Energy Law & Regulation, and Natural Resources Law.  The CALI Excellence for the Future award is given to the student with the highest grade in a class. Away from work, Kevin is a big soccer fan, having played soccer virtually his entire life.  He was on the PMH Peles, an unofficial LSU Law Center recreational league team.  And when he’s not kicking a ball around, he likes to go on runs with his dog, Arlo.  Ottinger Hebert is excited to welcome Kevin as the newest member of the firm.
