Pat Ottinger has been invited to speak and present at a series of webinars.  On April 14, 2021, Mr. Ottinger spoke to the Austin Professional Landmen’s Association via Zoom.  His topic was “Current Issues Under Louisiana Law of Oil and Gas.”  The subject matter is set forth in his article published at 59 So. Tex. L. Rev. 377 (Fall 2018).  A copy can be downloaded here. On April 16, 2021, Mr. Ottinger presented an article at the 68th Annual Institute on Mineral Law.  His topic was “The ‘Granting Clause’ of a Mineral Lease:  What Do You Mean I Can’t Do That?”  Mr. Ottinger serves as the Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Institute. Mr. Ottinger presented on a virtual basis at the 67th Annual Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation on July 20, 2021.  The title of his presentation is “Production in ‘Paying Quantities’ in These Days:  How Much Stress Can Your Lease Withstand?”
