ATTORNEY OWEN D. THIBODEAUX

 

Attorney Owen Thibodeaux has joined the Ottinger Hebert team. His practice will focus on civil litigation, including tort and contract defense, with emphasis on oil and gas, energy, and environmental matters. He also will assist clients with transactional and succession work.

A native of Natchez, Mississippi with family roots in southwest Louisiana, Mr. Thibodeaux earned his Juris Doctor and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law, graduating cum laude from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Louisiana State University.

During law school, Mr. Thibodeaux was recognized as a Dean’s Scholar and received CALI Excellence Awards for top performance in Legal Writing and Obligations. He gained practical experience through a judicial externship with the Honorable Carol B. Whitehurst, United States Magistrate Judge for the Western District of Louisiana.

Mr. Thibodeaux brings to the firm strong litigation skills, analytical precision, and a deep interest in Louisiana’s energy and environmental landscape. His academic achievements and practical experience reflect Ottinger Hebert’s commitment to providing only the highest level of legal advice to its clients.
